How much does it cost?

Each bear is only $55.00 + $9.00 delivery. THIS IS FOR EVERYTHING. The cost includes the bear of your choice, the personalised t-shirt, FREE gift wrapping and gift card and delivery via Express Post (Australia wide).

You are unable to pick up your gift – it MUST be delivered. 

We accept all major credit cards, however you must be the card holder if you wish to use this method of payment.  Alternatively, you may pay by cheque, money order or by direct deposit into our account.  Please note that any orders cannot be processed until payments have cleared. 

What is the procedure to place an order?

We accept orders in several ways.

1. Use place your order online by clicking Go Shopping.

2. Call Bears For Keeps on 1300 781 757 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday WAST (excludes public holidays).

3. Email bears4keeps@iinet.net.au including all the information needed to complete your order (especially contact details).

You will receive confirmation of your order by email within 24 hours.

Delivery Times?

Allow 2 – 3 days for manufacture and delivery.  If you require your gift quicker than this, please contact us. 

Unfortunately, we do not deliver on weekends or public holidays.

Can I supply my own picture to print on the bear’s T-shirt?

Yes, as long as the image is not subject to copyright. This could include photos, scanned images or drawings.

Send your picture to bears4keeps@iinet.net.au and we will be happy to print a personalised picture on the T-shirt.

How are the critters packed?

All the bears are packaged in small gloss white boxes fastened with (high tensile) brightly coloured knot cord.

The packaging is specially designed for the bear's safety during transport.

How large are the bears? I only live in a small apartment, will I need to re-arrange the furniture?

Our bears measure approximately 35cm head to toe. They will be suitable for shared accommodation in most human dwellings.

What sort of temperament do the bears have? Will they frighten the children?

Our beasts are specially trained to be docile; some have been known to remain immobile for days. They are suitable as gifts for children and adults of a nervous disposition.

What message can I put on the T-shirt?

Almost anything you wish, the only limit is the physical size of the T-shirt.

If you’re not feeling creative enough you can leave it to us to design your gift for you.  All we need is the details (eg. baby’s name etc) and we can choose the picture and/or the bear for you.

Hint:  When making a bear for a baby, it is a good idea to have the baby’s first name and middle name and date of birth written on the front, with the weight, time of birth and length written on the back.  However don’t forget that it is your gift and you can choose to have what you would like written on the T-shirt.

What colour is the bear’s T-shirt?

At this stage you can have any colour, as long as it is white. White has been found to have a calming influence on the bears, although it stains easily when they drool.

I wanted a gift for each of my friends Beryl from Balga(WA), Cheryl from Shepparton(VIC) and Errol from Eton(UK). Can you deliver to them?

Yes. All deliveries made to any Australian capital city are on the next business day. 

All areas outside of metropolitan areas can take up to 3 business days. 

Unfortunately we cannot accept orders from overseas, however if you live in Australia, we may be able to arrange delivery on your behalf to most countries overseas.  Delivery charges will need to be discussed when placing an order. 

Please note that Bears For Keeps cannot control actual delivery times.

Do these creatures have any special dietary requirements?

Extensive research at the Bears for Keeps Institute has found they thrive on chocolate biscuits. Our preferred method is to make a cup of coffee, sit opposite the animal and observe feeding behaviour. Place a chocolate biscuit in front of the animal. If it hasn't eaten the biscuit after approximately 30 seconds it may need further encouragement. Eat the biscuit yourself, repeat procedure as necessary.

Does a multiple order qualify for a discount?

Yes, please contact us for a quote, however each bear will need to be sent separately.

What if the text on the bear is incorrect?

Replacement t-shirts can be ordered if details given to Bears for Keeps were incorrect for $10 (including postage and handling via Australia Post).  If however, the error was made on our behalf, we will be happy to replace the t-shirt for you at no extra charge.

What happens if I’m out when the critter is delivered? Will it run amok and terrorize the neighbourhood?

If you are not home to accept delivery the parcel will be left at your door.  It is advised to have the package delivered to an address where you KNOW the person will be home or possibly delivered to your place of work.

Will Bears for Keeps share my personal details ?

Bears for Keeps will not sell or give your details to a third party. Your personal details (including your email address) are used purely to process your order. Your details are not held on our website.

We aim to have 100% customer satisfaction, so if you’re not completely happy with your gift, please return it to Bears for Keeps at your cost and the cost of the bear will be refunded to you.  We cannot refund the postage or courier costs.

We also appreciate any comments or suggestions you may have regarding our products or website. This information will help us provide better customer service for the future.
